Hello xx,
Your wine is now on its way!
You can check your shipping progress at https://www.fedex.com
with the following tracking number:

Please, expect 7-14 days depending on the flight schedules out of Mendoza and
Argentina. Once the wine is on its way it is usually very quick.
When tracking the shipment, it is best to open "detailed tracking"
to see where the package actually is. Unless it is already in your city, on
the delivery vehicle or at the nearest Fedex hub, please disregard the delivery
prediction. Also, sometimes customs causes a delay asking for 'more information';
our shipping service is on top of it and it usually clears in a couple of days.
Thank you again and enjoy these delicious wines!
Best wishes,
xx

Issue with paperwork top
Hi xx,

Yes, sometimes, U.S. customs causes a delay asking for 'more information', but
our shipping service is already handling the situation! Please do not worry
since it will clear in a couple of days!

Customized Shipping top
If you want to customize the selection, just let me know!
If you'd like to get the current offer and customize it or add the xx
or repeat a few bottles, just let me know and we'll process it as a custom order,
sending you the payment information by email.
We actually absorb some of the shipping cost with the margin that we have on
the wines. So adding the xx or additional bottles
of the xx would be an additional US$xx
per bottle, including shipping.
We need to do paperwork with U.S. customs to approve every label for importation,
so we can't really do it for 1-2 bottles only. That said, the Masi
Corbec could be a candidate for a future selection. It seems it is not
available in the U.S.
----------------------
The XX is $xx per
bottle, and we charge a flat shipping fee of US$60, no matter how many bottles.
If you can use Zelle, we can pass the saved fees to you and give a discount
of 5% on everything. The rates with Zelle will be the following ones:
- 6 bottles will be $336.30 ($xx
per bottle)
- 12 bottles will be $558.60 ($xx
per bottle)
- 18 bottles will be $776.16 ($xx
per bottle)
-----------------------
If you are also interested in the xx, the shipping
cost would already be covered. Or if you want to mix it up a different way,
xx is $35, and the
xx $49 per bottle.
These prices are with payment by PayPal. If you can use Zelle, we can pass the
saved fees to you and give a discount of 5% on everything.
----------------------
With your existing order the shipping is already paid for, so the additional
cost is the price per bottle only. We can ship 6, 12, 18 or 24 bottles. I can
send you a PayPal link for the add-on.
With the "custom" case that discount is already applied since there is no shipping
cost added for the extra bottles. (Shipping 12 bottles instead of 6 of course
costs more, but we absorb the extra cost because it is a larger order).
Breakage top
That's a shame! It is only the second time we have had a breakage in many years,
I'm just so sorry it happened to your shipment. We have contacted our shipping
service, and of course we will replace the bottles.
Did FedEx tell you how many bottles were damaged? We'll also try to find out
if it was just a bottle or two or the whole package, and if anything can be
salvaged.
We'll be in touch soon, and if you get any more information, please let us know.
My apologies for the trouble - we will sort it out!
Best,
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Could you please send us the photos and let us know exactly which wines were
broken? That way we can see if we can resend the same bottles (with some of
the wines we are out of stock) or offer a refund of the wines and proportional
shipping cost.
Declared
Price top
Glad the wines arrived well!
Don't worry, the $90 is only the value declared on the commercial invoice, for
customs purposes, to avoid paying too much duties and taxes.
These wines sell between $30 and $50 and more per bottle, but very hard to find
outside Argentina, for example:

Countries
Canada top
In Canada we only ship to Alberta. Unlike the other provinces, Alberta has very
reasonable duties, for a case of 6 wines only around CA$ 25-30 total, and it
is a simple process. Duties and taxes are not included in our price and have
to be paid by the recipient before the wines can be delivered.
In the other provinces, duties and taxes are very high and unpredictable. We
tried once with Ontario, and the extra for duties and taxes was more than CAD
300.
Which province do you live in? I know Canada is a big country, but maybe you
know someone in Alberta that we can ship to?
--------
We do have experience with shipping to Alberta. It is a pretty straightforward
process. We will send you a detailed receipt for customs. UPS/customs will contact
you for the duty payment, which is very reasonable in Alberta, about CA$ 30
for 6 bottles. Once paid, the wine is delivered by UPS, about a week after being
shipped from here.
Receipt for Customs top
I'm attaching a receipt for customs, with the wine prices identical to the commercial
invoice that accompanies the shipment. This should work to keep the duties/taxes
reasonable.
Most likely customs or UPS will contact you. Our last client from Alberta had
the shipment cleared very quickly. I don't know exactly, but I think he called
UPS when the tracking showed that the wines had arrived in Alberta, and arranged
for pickup instead of delivery to speed things up.
Australia top
Hello xx,
We are glad to know you are interested in our wine Selection!
We can ship wine to Australia at the same total price that is listed on the
offer page URL.mendozawineclub.com, but the duties
are extra:
We have recently found out that it is much more economic if we let UPS (our
courier) handle customs in Australia. That way we can include the duties and
fees on our side, rather than the recipient paying all the duties and fees in
Australia, where 29% WET tax and various other fees and taxes add up quickly.
We can include the duties and fees at an extra cost of US$50 for 6 bottles,
or US$75 for 12 bottles.
You can submit the order form and payment normally, and we will follow up by
email with a PayPal link for this extra cost.
Thank you,
-------------------------------------
I just wanted to follow up on our previous email. Australia has some duties
and taxes for receiving wines: Between the WET tax and other items it is about
AU$ 90-100 for the case of 6 wines.
The good news is that we have recently found that we can offer the option to
include the duties and taxes on our side (handled by UPS), at a better
price, it will be only US$50.
If you go through with the order, we can send you a separate payment link for
the US$50, and include all duties and taxes so you will not have to pay anything
extra upon receiving the wines!
Hope that works for you.
If you could drop us a quick reply, that would be great, so we know you received
this message.
Thank you!

Estimada xx,
* Gimenez Riili Gran Familia Malbec 2015
* Gimenez Riili Joyas de Familia Blend 2016
* Alpasión Gran Cab Franc 2018
* Alpasión Private Selection Blend 2015
* Familia Zaina La Torre Cab Franc 2018
* Familia Zaina El Emperador Refosco 2017
Saludos cordiales,

Good morning xx,
I'm sorry for the late reply! There have been some delays due to Covid-19 and
our courier has been really busy to catch up with the shipments.
Like I mentioned, Perú has a limit of 3 liters (4 bottles) per shipment per
day. We can get around this by doing 3 shipments of 4 bottles each, sending
them in the course of around 10 days.
At the moment, we have the following Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley Selections
available:
Luján de Cuyo Selection
https://ampora.mendozawineclub.com/xxxxxxx/selection.php
Uco Valley Selection
https://ampora.mendozawineclub.com/xxxxxxx/selection.php
We send the wines with duties/taxes in Perú included. Considering this plus
that it will be 3 separate shipments, we need to add an extra of US$ 60 to the
prices. We can offer you the following options: *2 cases Luján de Cuyo: US$
650 (2 times US$295 + US$60) *2 cases Uco Valley: US$ 618 *1 case Luján + 1
case Uco: US$ 634.
Please let us know your choice, and we will send you a payment link for your
custom order!

Singapur top
Hello xx,
Nice to hear from you!
Shipping from here to your home is included in the price on the offer page.
As far as we know there are no duties to be paid in Singapore.
We currently have one shipment in process to Singapore and it is taking longer
than it should - it has already been two weeks. We are waiting for the wines
to clear and arrive at destination, so that we have more accurate information
before sending another shipment to Singapore.
If you would like we can keep you posted and as soon as we get information about
this shipment, and that it arrived well, we can let you know.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Best,
--------------------------
Did Singapore customs or UPS manage to get in touch with you?
Apparently all they need is confirmation from you that the wine is for personal
consumption.
We can't have the shipment returned to Argentina, since the wine would be lost.
(Customs here treat returns as a re-importation with fees that are higher than
the value of the wine).
Appreciate your help with resolving this.
Thank you!
------------------------------
Hi xx,
If you could please contact any of these phone numbers to confirm that the wine
is for personal consumption, it would be great:

(65) 63028000
Many thanks for your willingness to help!
Norway top
Hello xx,
The case of 6 wines with shipping included is US$297.
I have looked online, too, and found this page: https://www.toll.no/en/goods/alcohol-and-tobacco/private-import
The alcohol duty for 6 bottles should be around 320NOK (US$ 37.50), and there
are some smaller additional duties.
Moreover VAT is 25% of the shipment value. For VAT we declare a lower value
for the wine than the real one in the commercial invoice.
Too make things easier for you, I can offer you the following: UPS can handle
the importation and all customs/duties, this way we can include all duties
and taxes for an extra cost of US$70 (one case), so you will not have to
pay anything when receiving the wines. I think it is a good deal, for sure less
than if you had to pay it yourself, and also you don't have to deal with customs.
In Mendoza, these wines cost US$ 30 to 40 per bottle. They are all Gran Reserves,
top of the line. For example the Pulenta Estate wines sell for 3550 pesos, which
is US$40. In the U.S. they cost US$ 50.
Our cost is a bit less of course, that way we can include the international
shipping in the total price.
If you'd like to go ahead, please submit the order form at URL.mendozawineclub.com
and proceed with the payment, and we will then follow up by email with a US$70
payment link for the duties.
Thank you!
FAQs
Timing top
Since the wine is sent by courier, not regular mail, I don't think xx should
take much longer than the rest of the U.S., on average two weeks, plus/minus
a few days.
Amount
of Bottles top
A case is 6 bottles, one of each wine. 12 would be nice :-) but these are $30
to $50 bottles, including shipping and duties!
Damage top
We have not had any problems with damage or wines not arriving.
---------------------------------
We have never had any problems with damage. In the unlikely case there is a
broken bottle, we would refund the cost of the bottle and the shipping, proportionately.
For example one 12th of the total of this shipment of 12 bottles.
Temperature Control top
The wine is packaged in styrofoam insulated shipper boxes, so I don't think
it is an issue. Does your domestic wine club use cardboard boxes?
We have taken chilled wine on our tours in summer in these shipper boxes, and
half a day later they are still cold.
Once the wines are on their way, it is quite quick, the transfers last only
a few hours between Fedex locations. They spend a bit more time in customs at
Fedex in Memphis, but I'd think they have air condition in the customs warehouse.
We have not had any issues.
Info about Wines top
The Rosé is a blend of 50% Malbec + 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. We process this
wine as if it was a white wine: the whole grape berries are pressed, so skins
and must remain in contact for about 3 hours. The result is a fruity, light,
refreshing and dry wine.
Both Nuvola Dolce wines are produced with the "appassimento" method that consists
on picking the grape bunches in March and letting them dry under the shade for
around 40 days until they become almost raisins. We then process these wines
as usual and interrupt their fermentation in order to have "residual sugar",
this means natural sugar left behind. The result is a sweet wine, however well
balanced with the natural acidity due to the fact that the grapes were not harvested
over-ripped (like late harvests are made). I suggest both wines to be served
for dessert, and the best pairing in my personal opinion, is by contrasting
it's sweetness with something bitter or salty.
Personally (Kai), I love the fact that the Nuvola wines, due to the method Constanza
describes, still taste like real wines, with full aromas, and not just sweet.
The gran reserva reds have in common the low yields in the vineyard (4 tons
per hectare, approximately 2 pounds per plant). This is important to obtain
good concentration of aromas, for the structure of the wines and for the persistence
in mouth and ageing potential.
The Malbec and the Cab Sauv are 100% varietals, and the Blend consists of 50%
Montepulciano, 25% Cab Sauv, 15% Malbec and 10% Petit Syrah. In Argentina we
are the only vineyard that produces Montepulciano and Petit Syrah.
These 3 wines are aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels.
The ageing potential is approximately 15 years!!!
The Refosco surprised us, being an Italian varietal we had not tried before.
It's deeply colored, with dark red fruit flavors and a long finish with notes
of plums, cassis and currants.

Yes, the idea is to create a new case every 3 months. We are already planning
the next one. This way we can buy a good quantity of the wines chosen to create
the different selections. We also have to register each label with the FDA.
There's often a remaining stock of bottles, and some wines we can repurchase.
The international shipping price for 6 bottles is US$60. If you buy 12 or more
bottles, we can make it a flat shipping fee of US$90.

Pulenta
Customized top
Dear xx,
Nice to meet you! We run a wine club with a new wine selection every three months
or so, but are also working closely with Connie from Pulenta Estate for custom
shipments.
Here are our list prices of the Pulenta Estate Wines. We focus on the Gran Reserves,
since we can absorb part of the shipping cost with these higher priced wines.
Also they are the most delicious ;-)
Wines per
bottle
Pulenta Estate Gran Malbec $49
Pulenta Estate Gran Cab Franc $49
Pulenta Estate Gran Corte $53
Pulenta Estate Gran Merlot $45
Pulenta Estate Gran Cab Sauv $45
We charge a flat shipping fee of $60, and can ship 6, 12, 18 or 24 bottles,
with all duties etc. included to the U.S.. Shipping is by Fedex in insulated
boxes and takes 10-14 days.
Depending on payment method and the size of the order, I'm sure we can give
a discount on these prices. Please let me know how many bottles you would be
interested in.
Also, just FYI, here is our latest wine selection:
https://ampora.mendozawineclub.com/1000181/selection.php
If you were interested in this selection, plus a number of Pulenta Estate wines,
then the shipping fee would already be covered by the first 6 bottles of the
offer in the link.
Hope this was useful, looking forward to hearing from you!
